Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer at Wellfit
Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid)
Remote will be considered in Texas

Salary: 130 - 150K + 10% Bonus

As we scale, we're seeking a dynamic Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer to join our team, focused on proactive problem-solving and operational efficiency.Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will be a pivotal player in enhancing our monitoring and alerting systems, spearheading containerization efforts, and ensuring our infrastructure is both resilient and cost-efficient. You will be entrusted with establishing enterprise-level alerting and monitoring plans, leveraging tools like Dynatrace and Azure to preempt operational issues. Your role extends to improving security through SSL and code signing certificates, onboarding new developers, and managing deployments and releases to keep our development and QA teams unblocked and productive.Key Responsibilities:

• Azure Cost Management: Optimize and monitor cloud costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Alerting and Monitoring: Implement and manage alerting and monitoring using Dynatrace and Azure tooling. Establish enterprise alerting and monitoring plans that align with business needs.
• Containerization: Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to streamline our containerization strategy, enhancing scalability and deployment efficiency.
• Security Management: Manage SSL and code signing certificates to ensure secure communications and authenticity of our software.
• Operational Excellence: Identify and eliminate toil, automate repetitive tasks, and contribute to SOC2 compliance efforts.
• Monitoring Azure Updates: Stay ahead of Azure service updates, retiring/upgrading notifications to ensure our infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
• Security and Compliance: Lead vulnerability scan remediations, particularly for SQL, manage pen test activities, and ensure the highest standards of security and compliance are maintained.
• Jira Service Manager (JSM): Oversee the setup and migration to Jira Service Manager, optimizing our ticketing system to manage workload effectively and reduce reliance on direct messaging platforms.
• Deployment Management: Coordinate deployments and releases, ensuring a smooth and efficient process that keeps development and QA teams focused and unblocked.
• Dynatrace Implementation: Lift our Dynatrace implementation off the ground, addressing the complexities of monitoring and alerting at scale.
• Support QA Automation: Provide the QA automation team with secure tools for testing emails, moving away from less secure, temporary email services.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in SRE and/or DevOps roles with a focus on cloud environments, preferably Azure.
• Expertise in monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Azure monitoring solutions.
• Strong background in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledgeable in SSL, code signing certificates, and security best practices.
• Experience with Jira Service Manager and managing ticketing systems.
• Proficiency in automating deployment and cloud operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage both strategic projects and day-to-day operational tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with development and QA teams.
